It was just outed it in a Kuhn mini-interview for Electronic Beats, so it’s time to announce it here: our next and final release of 2011 will be The Range‘s debut LP entitled The Big Dip, set to drop here Dec. 12.

The Range is James Hinton, a 23-year-old producer from Providence, RI with a facility for melding frenzied footwork percussion and melodic R’n'B vocal cut-ups to generate rich hybrid hyperspeed sing-along bass music for the lonely and ADHD.

Previous to The Big Dip, Hinton released a full-length entitled cower on his own imprint Sqwal Recordings under alter alias stegosaurus. More recently as The Range he remixed the title track of Kuhn’s Slime Beach EP for Civil Music (stream below) and howse’s ‘bangsless’ on his trakz EP (in our catalog, ASTR006).
